What happened April 22, 2025 – Pahalgam!!!!

April 22, 2025 – Pahalgam, Indian-administered Kashmir

A terrifying attack has been reported, in which 26 tourists were killed and 17 others injured. The Indian government claims that an armed group called "Kashmir Resistance" has taken responsibility for the attack. What’s even more shocking is that the attackers allegedly asked the tourists about their religion and opened fire only on non-Muslims, sparing the Muslims.

Hearing about this incident, it feels like the deadliest attack on tourists in India since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

But here, a major question arises. This incident occurred at a time when the world media is stormed with reports of atrocities, killings, and repression against Muslims in India. International pressure on India has been mounting over these issues. And then, right at this moment, such an attack takes place. The Indian government's claim that the attackers killed based on religion raises even more suspicion. Is this just a coincidence, or is there a bigger game being played behind the scenes? What could be the underlying reasons?

In my opinion, first of all, this could be a strategy to divert global attention away from the news about atrocities against India’s Muslim community. At a time when India is being heavily criticized worldwide, such an incident could shift everyone’s focus to the attack itself, pushing the accusations of persecution into the background. This could serve as a major opportunity for the Indian government.

Secondly, the nature of this attack—where only non-Muslims were targeted—could spark religious tension within the country. Hindus, Sikhs, Christians—anyone who is non-Muslim—might begin to harbor anger toward Muslims. If this is something planned by the Indian government, they might be trying to sway public opinion in their favor. So that people forget the oppression of Muslims and instead blame them for the attack.

Thirdly, this attack could help India portray itself to the world as a "victim of terrorism." It could serve as a justification for strict security measures in Kashmir or for exerting more control over Muslims. India could tell the international community, “Look what kind of terrorism we are facing!” This might reduce criticism of their internal policies.

Now the question is—was this attack a pre-planned conspiracy by the Indian government? Did they use tourists as bait to create a situation where Muslims could be further oppressed or where people of other religions could be turned against Muslims?

Honestly, I don’t have any direct evidence to prove that. But the timing of the incident is highly suspicious. When pressure on India was increasing over its treatment of Muslims, this kind of attack, where religious division is so clearly highlighted, may seem coincidental—but it can't be completely ruled out either. History has many examples where such events have been used for political gain.

In conclusion, the Pahalgam attack could become a major opportunity for India. It can help shift attention away from allegations of abuse against Muslims, incite religious tension within the country, and gain international sympathy. Whether or not this was fully orchestrated by the Indian government is hard to say. But looking at the timing and context, it seems there might indeed be deeper motives behind it. We’ll have to wait for more information to know the truth.
