An unbelievable incident took place at a wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh, India. All the wedding preparations were centered around the bride, but after the wedding, it was revealed that the bride was actually her mother. The incident occurred in the Brahmapuri area of Meerut district, according to NDTV.

Mohammad Azim, 22, was set to marry 21-year-old Mantasha from Shamli district. The wedding date was finalized for March 31. Everything was going as planned until the situation suddenly took a shocking turn.

During the wedding, when the officiating cleric (Qazi) mentioned the bride’s name as “Tahira,” Azim became suspicious—he knew his bride’s name was Mantasha. However, as there was no opportunity to speak up at the moment, he stayed quiet. But after the ceremony, when the bride’s veil was lifted, Azim was stunned.

Behind the veil was not Mantasha, but her 45-year-old widowed mother, Tahira. Realizing he had been married to the mother instead of the daughter, Azim erupted in anger.

He alleged that the wedding was a well-planned deception. His brother Nadeem and sister-in-law Saida had orchestrated the trap. Azim claimed that when he protested, his brother and sister-in-law threatened to falsely accuse him of rape.

Azim also said that there had been a financial transaction of 500,000 rupees behind this marriage. He filed a complaint with the police regarding the matter.

However, Brahmapuri’s Circle Officer, Soumya Asthana, stated that the issue had been resolved through mutual understanding between the two parties. Azim withdrew his complaint and no longer wishes to take any legal action.

When the incident spread on social media, it sparked widespread discussion and criticism. Many commented that the story seemed straight out of a real-life movie.
